We are now in a world of metric madness. Complicated figures are now attached to things that are hitherto simple and Straight forward. Things are no longer measured by the value in them but by the figures attached to them. The body beauty of a woman is defined in figures. Either in figure 8 or size 8. Whilst that of man is calculated in 6 parks. Our human intelligence is now measured in some numbers attached to what is to be known as intligence quotient. The wellness of a nation is no longer measured by the number of people who can feed themselves and their families, not even on the moral or spiritual development of the populace, but it is measured in some tiny figures attached to the strange contraptions called GDP. Shame. The congregations of the people of God are no longer measured based on the quality of values and beliefs. Not even in the fervency of faith and shared humanity. They are now measured and referred to based on the number of seats within the church building. We hear things like 25,000 packed congregation, 100k seater church. Our men of God are no longer dividing the word of God raw anymore. Their sermons is either 21 nuggets of success or 7 steps to breakthrough. 71 steps to salvation, 14 winning ways with women. The 14 technological attributes of the blood of Jesus. Our world that God created as one indivisible whole is now numerically divided into 1st, 2nd and 3rd world. Can somebody tell me when we are going to drop these artificialities and revert to our world in its original form.
