We are now open for applications for the “ LEAD - Resilience thinking, exponential technologies and sustainable leadership programme ”. We think this programme could be of interest to your members, so we kindly ask you to spread this information on your traditional channels. The four month long LEAD programme is a joint initiative between the Stockholm Resilience Centre in Stockholm University and the Swedish Institute . Organized as a three-month intelligence brief with workshops, the programme is designed to operate as an iterative prototyping and learning process that includes lectures, discussions and presentations. LEAD is designed to make the participants think deeper and differently on technology shifts, innovation processes and sustainable development. The course will present the current reality of global environmental change and link this with the latest insights on artificial intelligence, sensor networks, robotics, machine learning and other aspects of exponential technologies. This will provide a unique knowledge base and learning environment for developing innovative and sustainable ideas. The programme targets future leaders and change makers who have the ambitions and skills to innovate at the system level: highly skilled developers, serial entrepreneurs, creative designers, intrapreneurs, etc. LEAD is aimed at individuals who have a long term interest in technology and an entrepreneurial mind-set of problem solving, and who know that a better future for humanity requires new ways of thinking and acting differently. Participants need to be permanent residents or citizens of one of these countries: Sweden, Poland, Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Russia, Belorussia, Ukraine, Georgia, or Moldova. Candidates should be fluent in spoken and written English. The programme is structured around three distinct but interlinked learning modules and three webinars. The learning modules will take place mainly at the Stockholm Resilience Centre in Stockholm (Sweden) and in Tallinn (Estonia). The programme starts in late September 2014 and is open for applications until 18 August. There are no tuition fees and all expenses are covered (food, traveling).
