We are once again looking for part time help. As our staffing continues to change, we are looking for someone with some specific abilities. This will be a part time daytime position. Evening and weekend times would not be, at this time, a regular occurrence. However, you may be asked to fill in for missing or otherwise occupied staff on occasion. This is almost always a scheduled change and not a last minute thing. There will be an established schedule, but extra hours can be picked covering for other staff members. Additionally, we are looking for someone to work with and bring in new school/teacher/librarian business to the store. This would be part of your job description. Those times can be flexible to your schedule. We are looking for someone with a good knowledge of children’s literature. Being a reader is a must. Must be comfortable speaking to small and large groups. Book talks would be expected. Must be able to work with a Windows-based operating system. The job is not physically demanding, but some lifting of boxes of books, moving up and down steps, and typical shelving (high and low) are expected.
