We are once again shifting gears in this devotional exercise we do - TopicsExpress

We are once again shifting gears in this devotional exercise we do daily, and this time around I want to break some new ground by drawing reference to an initiative I am beginning this week called THE WEDNESDAY FORUM. For a lengthy period of time, I have been sifting, sorting, praying and clarifying visions in my spirit about hot button issues not the least of which is something the social media are communicating in a steady stream about the Middle East dilemma with the ISIS slaughter of innocent people, the trial and sentencing of Oscar Pretorius this past week as it relates to the Biblical issue of justice, South Africa’s highest rape and AIDS stats in the world, this country being led by a man with not even a high school education and the list can go on. In tackling these issues among a myriad of others, I want to state steadfastly that in all matters we seek to be redemptive and not weighted down with a critical spirit always looking for the best and not the worst. Furthermore, we need to be stimulated and challenged by the accumulating evidence that the dates and times do not, but signs do indicate that we are living in the last days. The great task facing all of us in the church is to fulfill the Great Commandment which will empower us to obediently carry out the Great Commission.
