We are pleased to announce FXFOWLEs participation in OfficeUS, the U.S. Pavilion for La Biennale di Venezia. Organized by the Storefront for Art and Architecture, the U.S. Pavilion is re-imagined as an active, global, experimental architecture office that researches, studies, and remakes projects from an onsite archive of 1,000 buildings. The archive includes several FXFOWLE projects in the King Abdullah Financial District (KAFD)–Museum of the Built Environment (pictured), and the KAFD Mosque–in addition to our first overseas project–the Industrial and Commercial Bank. We are also taking part in discussions during the OfficeUS Working Summit on June 8, 2014 in the U.S. Pavilion, Giardini: Culture Capital & Anger/Love Management & Democratizing Action Exploring the consequences of the monetization of the architectures and networks of culture and the currency of culture in the spaces, typologies and protocols of the architectures of diplomacy and contemporary political agendas. 12-1pm Sylvia Smith, FAIA, LEED, Senior Partner Superlatives Exploring the expertise involved in producing architectures whose specific aim is to operate at the quantifiable limits of a particular technological or operational aim. 1-2pm Sudhir Jambhekar, FAIA, RIBA, LEED, Senior Partner More Info: bit.ly/1jOTen4
