We are pleased to announce that VIP Ashley Burns has won the Youth Individual category of the George and Helen Hartzog Award, a regional award recognizing exceptional Volunteers In Parks. A high school senior who has volunteered here since elementary school, Ashley helps with trail maintenance and participates in the park’s interpretation program. She provides programs during park special events and assists with Summer Junior Rangers. She displays natural leadership skills and enjoys connecting with visitors of all ages. More news will be posted about this honor but for now we say, “Congratulations, Ashley!”
