We are pleased to announce that the University of Wisconsin Milwaukee will offer a special workshop on the music of guitarist/composer Leo Kottke, which will bring together unparalleled resources for the study of three of his compositions. This three day workshop will be held August 1-3 in Kenilworth Square East, the elegant satellite facility of the Peck School of the Arts. In the Music of Leo Kottke 2014 Summer Workshop we will present new transcriptions of three compositions by Leo Kottke — “Airproofing,” “Julie’s House,” and “Busted Bicycle.” You may enroll in this class as a noncredit workshop by calling the Peck School of the Arts Box Office at 414-229-4308, Tuesday-Saturday, 11am-7pm. Fee: $280. arts.uwm.edu/kottke If you are currently enrolled at UWM, you may register for this class (MUSIC 489 LEC 093, 20333, Workshop: Music of Leo Kottke) for 1-4 credits on PAWS.
