We are pleased to announce the Workshop on Marine Ecological and Evolutionary Genomics which will be held at ECIMAT marine station and at the University of Vigo, both in Vigo (Spain) between the 14th and the 16th of October 2014. This workshop aims to introduce ecologists, marine biologists, geneticists and evolutionary biologists into the use of Next Generation Sequencing (NGS) data for population genetics analyses commonly used in the field of ecology and evolution, and also give the attendants a hands-on experience of such analyses. The workshop will include 6 talks from the invited speakers and organisers and 6 practical sessions where the attendants will be assisted by the invited speakers in the analysis of different datasets. The practical sessions are of general interest for ecologist and evolutionary biologists and therefore not only marine biologists.
