We are pleased to announce the next production following on from intervals. The Red Room is a short ghost story written by HG wells, first published in 1896 and now adapted for stage by the director for this performance Debbie Cranston. Debbie, although new to the Teignmouth Players, first staged this play in France where it went down particularly well. Briefly:- The Red Room is said to be haunted. Through the years many have dared but no one has succeeded in stayed the night in the room without either dying or loosing their mind. Will James with his head set firmly in the modern age of logic and clear thinking fare any better? He believes so. The cast consists of: - A lead character (either mail or female) of late teens early twenties A couple of friends who will only perform at the start and possibly end of the play. 4 Old Guardians - possibly 2 men & 2 women - again these are small parts at the start and end of the play 3 Narrators - who will lead the audience through the play If you would like to know more about the play, visit en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Red_Room_(Wells) Play Reading / Audition This will take place next Sunday between 2pm & 4:30pm at the Ice Factory Theatre and will will be very informal. Those wishing to take part should arrive by 2pm and will be there until completion of the session at 4:30pm. This is an open audition open to both members and non-members, however if selected, all cast will need to hold membership of the society or join. The performance dates are between the 4th and 7th March - 4 to 5 performances. The play is only short (approx 30 - 45 minutes) with possible other add-ins to the evening. If you would like to take part, but are not able to make Sundays reading, Debbie will also be at the Ice Factory this coming Thursday during our social evening (Thirsty Thursday)
