We are pretty sure everyone knows how tough it is to have a hit - TopicsExpress

We are pretty sure everyone knows how tough it is to have a hit song, and the measure of that is the BIllboard Hot 100. When Beat/Switchin was out, it broke in different parts of the US at different times, so while it did get tons of airplay in most major markets, (NYC, Boston, Detroit, Dallas, LA, Seattle etc) and went Top 5 in some, (Chicago for example) it fell a bit short of cracking the Top 40 even though it managed to stay on there for 6 months. (Not to mention being over 5 minutes long, a rarity) Which may seem like a drag until you realize that some other shall we say popular tunes didnt place as high as we did, like: Neil Diamond Solitary Man, Josh Groban You Raise Me Up, Judas Priest Youve Got Another Thing Comin, AC/DC Highway to Hell, B-52s Rock Lobster, Black Sabbath Iron Man, David Bowie Ashes to Ashes, Cheap Trick Surrender, The Clash Should I Stay or Should I Go, The Eagles Tequila Sunrise, Jimi Hendrix Purple Haze, Billy Idol Rebel Yell, Ozzy Osbourne Crazy Train, The Romantics What I LIke About You, Rush Tom Sawyer, James Taylor Carolina on My Mind, Van Halen Hot for Teacher, ZZ Top Sharp Dressed Man.... you get the idea. Its a strange business for sure and while we really only got up to bat once in the Majors, (for reasons best told some other time) we did get on base, and we are proud of that.
