We are raising Mental Health Awareness in our own small, special way, through Hoop FamJams with community partnership where we donate time and instruction & Rocket donates the space, plus tea & coffee. Our next Hoop FamJam for Mental Healthy Holidays is Dec. 14!! We are donating ALL proceeds from today, $165, to The Pottle Centre. This is a local organization set up to help people find a safe place to go, talk, or participate in activities to get them out. A former student of mine contacted me about speaking to her clients openly & honestly about mental wellness with a strategic focus on how exercise can positively impact lives. Heres who they are from their website: We are a drop-in social centre for consumers of mental health services in St. John’s, Newfoundland & Labrador. We provide a safe and healthy place for people to be social, enjoy some special events and get involved.
