We are ramping up the war machine. I remember being a kid and hearing all about Gaddafi. He was the worst of the worst. One thing I know for sure: we have found a reason to send poor kids to die in the middle east my whole life. It wasnt until we started arming these groups that they posed a problem to anyone outside of their borders. Most people from my generation dont know that the C.I.A. helped install Saddam Hussein in Iraq. We have been on multiple sides of several regional conflicts in the 21st century alone. Just a year ago we were ready to oust the Assad regime in Syria, now we are thinking of partnering up with them to remove the Isis/Isil militants that weve been arming. This sounds crazy, but this is where we are. We are in a post 911 frenzy where any threat real or perceived is enough to incite paranoia. Its funny how we never got around to invading our good friends in Saudi Arabia the country 15 of the 19 hijackers were from allegedly.
