We are running out of foster homes for our animals. We are also running out of shelter space. With 400+ dogs at the sanctuary and 100+ at the shelter and another 100+ at our ABC centre, if the rescued animals do not get homes it is not possible for us to take in more. And we are just one of many shelters in the country. Every shelter is struggling with the same problem. Please share our posts as widely as possible and talk to friends and family about the merits and NEED for adopting versus buying. ADOPTING is no more a choice, it has become the NEED of the hour. With so many homeless animals, so many abused and neglected ones the only hope is adoption. And if we animal lovers cannot get over and above our want for a particular breed and open our arms to what is available, what hope for these lost cases then? We still have 12 dogs waiting homes. There are 6 Indie juniors (in the age group of 6 months), couple of small breeds (spitz, pom, terrier and mix breeds), couple of middle aged German Shepherds and 2 Golden Labs who will need some expert handling.
