We are saved but God is continually working on us, confirming us to His image. In Isa. 48:10. God said to Israel, Behold, I have refined you, but not as silver; I have tested you in the furnace of affliction. The furnace is where God refines you. It is performing a burning out of things that would not have otherwise occur. In Mal 3:3 God warned the sons of Levi, His priest, that they would be refined as gold and silver were refined - intense heat. Whenever God allows us to bear a cross, He has a particular reason or a spiritual mission that it will accomplish in our lives. Our natural lives are dealt with as we endure according to Gods will. May we surrender to His will as we are refined and as He empowers us with the Holy Ghost for His glory. We are never alone but God is watches over us. Amen!
