We are seeking a Compressor Development Engineer with oil-free technology exp., Buffalo, NY area, 80-100k, relo available {CICDE}-FB Our Client Company is a world class supplier of design and manufacture of high lift structures, complex mechanical assemblies and major functional components. They are currently seeking a Compressor Development Engineer, in the Buffalo, NY area. Salary range is 80-100k depending on experience. The successful candidate will have the experience necessary to perform the following functions, among others: • Development and test of proof of concept prototypes • Analytical analysis of predicted performance, reliability and test data • Product engineering support of resulting products into production • Post-market quality tracking support & root cause analysis • Lead cross functional compressor development teams • Capture lessons learned and develop compressor requirements and specifications • Manage communication to suppliers and application engineers • Perform data driven problems solving • Recommend, review and approve DV and PV plans • Track and provide ED&T estimates for compressor development • Support resolution of manufacturing issues • Assist in making sourcing quote package and technical assessments thereof • Own compressor engineering documents such as DFMEA, Risk Assessments, Etc. Education/Experience • Bachelors or Master’s Degree in Related Technical Field (e.g., mechanical engineering) or equivalent experience • Experience of 5+ years progressive, applicable, technical activity in laboratory or R&D facility, compressor design/working on compressors, including engineering analysis, heat transfer, fluid dynamics, psychrometrics, mechanical design, and system simulation. • Familiarity with oil-free technology a must. • Should possess a strong knowledge of personal computers & software, including MS Office, 3-D CAD. • Familiarity/experience with data acquisition systems and usage. • Demonstrated ability to resolve complex issues and effectively communicate to management.
