We are so damn short sighted on any environmental issues. THE WELL WILL RUN DRY!!!! Overuse is a major problem on earth now. We cannot survive if we continue to place money over common sense. Grow crops that DO NOT require large amounts of water. Rotate crops to benefit soils etc. Produce sustainable food crops with sustainable practice. We misuse water (and all resources), do not consider the effects of what we do and expect it to all be ok. And we are suppose to be the SMART species. As far as I know we are the only species who can foresee consequences of our actions yet we fail to heed the warnings.
