We are so excited to be live. In 30 days we have accomplished a lot to make this happen and it has required the commitment of all who have helped. We would like to introduce our first emergency foster. I say emergency as this is unfortunately how many fosters find their way to rescue. Bad things happen. Someone says help. And a rescue steps up. We are honored to be asked to help Bear. Bear is a county seizure who was beat with a metal pole and then as the x-ray showed, shot in the face with buckshot. He has unfortunately lost an eye but after several days at the vets getting care and comfortable with the staff and routine, his pleasant personality is shining through. His care to this point has been funded through the generous support of caring followers and we are appreciative to each and every one of them. We promise our commitment to his future is no less than the commitment his supporters have provided to this point. Bear has as mentioned had his eye removed, buckshot cleared from his face and was neutered yesterday. He is recovering well from his surgery and seems upbeat. He has one hurdle left, during his physical it was discovered he is heartworm positive. So when well enough, he will need to begin treatment. He has a long recovery ahead of him but a very knowledgeable and caring foster to help him along the way. It will be some time before he is ready for adoption consideration. In the meantime, if you would like to contribute towards his care, you can find the link below. youcaring/medical-fundraiser/help-save-bear-he-was-beaten-and-shot-/264157/update/243713
