We are so grateful to The Brooklyn Tabernacle pastor Jim Cymbala and his staff for being such gracious hosts to us all day today. The church was packed out for every worship service: at 9am, noon, and 3pm. People start arriving an hour ahead of time. It looked like the church opened their doors and all of Brooklyn streamed in. The first two services were just over two hours and the last was three. No one seemed to mind in the least. In addition to pastor Cymbalas powerful preaching, and that of Pastor Tim at the early service, we got a full day of their Grammy-award-winning choir. Trust me, their recordings only hint at the energy unleashed by this powerful choir when you hear them live in a worship service. Pat and I are staying over to be here for their Tuesday night prayer meeting. It starts at 7pm, but the doors open at 5pm and there will already be a line to get in. We are thankful for the opportunity to go to school on this great church and its pastoral leadership.
