*** We are so proud of our staff members who are part of this amazing humanitarian effort. *** Medical Outreach Team, Update 6: Thursday, May 8, 2014 Today was our first clinic. We saw 150 patients in the rural church at Gubhethuka. We were very excited and grateful to finally get started! Patients began arriving at 1am for our 10am clinic. We handed out lots of meds, cleaned out a few ears and heard many stories that touched our hearts. I thought you might like to hear a couple of those stories. Simangele is 73-years-old and still works in the sugar cane fields. Her hands are cracked and worn from her labor. She has had pain since a stroke 6 years ago left her weak on her right side. She complained to my translator that we “only come once a year.” She missed last year’s clinic because her husband died and she is left to care for 5 children and a grandchild. She came back this year because the meds she gets from us “help her so much.” T. M. is 58-years-old and has HIV/AIDS. She first came to our clinic 2-3 years ago. She received “medicine that healed her pain.” Because of the meds she came to trust God. The patients receiving reading glasses in the clinic today would not believe that the glasses worked unless they were able to read a Bible – a magazine wouldn’t do! It‘s been a great day – the team was outstanding. We are so grateful for all of you. Please pray that God will continue to use us to extend his love to the Zulu people. We have another clinic tomorrow and a clinic for 350-400 ACM kids on Saturday. We love you all. Sharon Osbourne
