We are still a little under the weather today, so we havent done much at all. These pictures show the new foster pup, Elsa trying to play with Sarah. As you can see, Sarah is interested, but just doesnt always understand the motive of a playful pup. She plays for a few minutes, then seems to be frightened, as if she thinks the pup is going to hit her. This has gone on all day and Sarah enjoys it for the most part, and when she gets frightened, she takes a time out then goes back to playing. Bubba is doing fantastic! He is going in and out without a leash now and is holding his head high with confidence. He has been wrestling and playing with the others as well. Sam has even gotten in on this playing a few times today. Little Hope has not felt well today, and it appears to be the pain from her back that is bothering her. Perhaps it is the change in weather, which is what has me down, so it could be bothering her. I have given her the Ultram for the back pain, but it just doesnt seem like it is helping much today. If she doesnt begin getting some relief tomorrow we will check with the doc to see if we can increase the dosage, and try to get her more relief. We will likely have to do more extensive testing in the near future to see exactly how much damage was done to her back so we will know better how to treat it. She is sleeping a lot, and as long as she is resting peacefully, I feel she is not in much pain. So, hopefully tomorrow will bring better news for her and more comfort for all of us who suffer from this weather related issues. Tammie runs the rescue that I foster for, and is in great need of surgery. She has put this off as long as she can and is now having difficulty walking. We need her well in order to save these babies. We need to help Tammie raise the funds for the co-pay for her surgery, and some funds to help cover the animal care (orphans at the pound) while she is out of work with the surgery and recovery. Tammie works full time and uses a lot of her personal money to support the pound puppies. The vet bill is now over 1,000.00 and the animals in the pound still must be fed. There are so many of us, if we all just gave $5.00 to this cause, we could get the surgery Tammie needs and help her keep the pups alive (keep them from being euthanized) while she mends.
