We are still having issues with Sharing and tagging. Please read and follow. The Rules There are a few housekeeping tips that we would like to discuss in advance. These tips are not to limit your questions but instead to give you guidance in advance to ensure that everyone understands the purpose of the page and what does and does not occur within our page. Our Company does take pictures of training events. We will post some of the pictures to this facebook page. Alpha Company understands how important pictures are for the families and friends of OSUT Soldiers; however, it is important that everyone understands that our first mission is to train your Soldier. There will be some training events in which cadre members are simply not able to take pictures. Please be patient and understanding. NO NAMES, first last or both are to be used on any post, comments of photos or anywhere on the Facebook page. Tagging of any kind is strictly prohibited. We have noticed in the past that several people have tagged our pictures, used names of Soldiers and family members, and shared the information and pictures of this page on other Facebook pages. Please note that none of these above actions are allowed at ANY time per US Army social media guidelines. This is strictly for the safety of our cadre and trainees. If there is something you want to share please download the material to your personal computer before you publicly share it with anyone else. Continual infractions of these rules will result in us taking action, and could result in you being banned from all 2-19 INF pages permanently. These pages are maintained for you but the mission of training your Soldiers is our ultimate priority. We have deleted several comments in the past for example is this your son, Jon Smith? or is this your boy Joe? The privacy and security and security of our Soldiers are our highest priority. This is why they are assigned a roster number during OSUT. No links may be posted on our Facebook page to other Websites unless it is under the direction of facebook administrators. Any rude inappropriate comments, or tagging posted to photos or videos of past or present groups are grounds for immediate and permanent ban from our page. Phone calls are NOT liberal during OSUT. They are a privilege that is earned and not a right. If you need to pass information to your Soldier, please write him. If there is an emergency in which you must get important information to your Soldier you may call the Red Cross and they will pass the message along to the Company Commander and then to your Soldier. You can find their contact information and what information you will need to have in the NOTES section. Your loved one cannot see the messages you post to facebook during his time here at OSUT. In addition, cadre members do not pass along information. Finally please remember that the establishment and upkeep of this facebook page is a privilege that the Commander has allowed and encouraged. All correspondence within this page are done on the off time of our Command Team. Please remain patient, understanding and polite in all correspondences. We want this page to be a source of comfort and information to all the families and friends of the Soldiers assigned to Alpha Company. Please help us ensure that we can continue to make it happen.
