We are stopping the Daily Freebie project. Mutually beneficial, it is not. A like. A share. An Oh, this song is good!. Anything could have provided the inspiration I needed to keep going. Instead, 5-8 people like but hundreds are downloading? I seriously want to visualize this scenario in a short film. To me, it feels like this: A line of you coming up to me at my computer. I give a warm smile as I hand over a song that I just finished writing. You take it out of my hand and walk away without smiling back or saying a word to me. Over and over. Hundreds of you. After a few days of this, my optimism for giving is totally gone. Not to come in on a high horse, I know how it goes. Its really easy to just take without saying thanks. I know Im guilty of it at times. Its the nature of the internet now. So impersonal and its so easy to be that way. It feels like a chore to say thanks. TRUST me. I know. That doesnt stop it from being annoying when it happens to you though. OK...pity party over! Just wanted to be up front about why we are stopping the Freebie project.
