We are stuck due to the weather. Mchalie seems to be doing well, and she even asked if we would consider giving her fewer hydrocortisone pills. We are following what the endocrinologists suggested for dosing with a Vincristine treatment, and we are hoping that we are able to decrease the hydrocortisone faster than previous times - especially since she was almost at her goal amount (simply replacement amount for her adrenal glands) when we arrived in Ann Arbor. We looked at where we would on the road today as the weather changed, and it didnt look promising. In fact, it looked like we would be spending the whole day driving through wicked weather, so we waited. Stopping just anywhere (without a hospital nearby) would cause extra stress for us. Also, we know as were driving that Mchalie not only has a lot of other things going on, but she has adrenal issues which HAS to be known if we did need help on the road. Its a good thing we waited, because as meteorologists anticipated, it isnt what you would call enjoyable driving weather. We are anxiously awaiting what looks like better driving conditions, so we can head home. In the meantime, we let Mchalie relax, but we all went to the fitness room in the hotel. We encouraged Mchalie to workout with us, and she ended up trying the treadmill and walked for 6 minutes and 20 seconds!
