We are truly saddened to post about the loss of shining young life. Samantha Alvarado was a bright student, who always offered a sweet smile, and was very enthusiastic about her personal transformation. We were able to know her briefly through our TLS program at her school, Street Academy in Oakland. Emiliano Zapata Street Academy has organized a fundraiser to help support the Alvarado family during their time of deep grief.
