We are very excited for our Carrot Juice Fast! This important detoxification routine is recommended for almost everyone as it puts the body at rest, promotes the rapid removal of metabolic wastes from the body and helps with the rebuilding of damaged tissues. The Carrot Juice Fast is to be done for three full consecutive days, during this time you are to eat no solid food whatsoever. Each day, drink a minimum of six 8 oz glasses of freshly made juice, spread evenly through the day. The juice can be a mixture of carrot, apple, and celery. The proportions are up to you, but the predominant juice should be carrot. The juice should ideally be made fresh each time, as vegetable juice does not store well even if refrigerated. However, if needed, the juice can be made ahead of time and taken with to work; Stef and I take 3 juices to work with us and make the others fresh at home. If you find yourself hungry, make more juice; six glasses daily is the minimum, there is no maximum. In summary, drink at least six glasses mixed carrot, apple, and celery juice each day for three days. You may drink water as desired. During the Carrot Juice Fast, you may feel a variety of symptoms such as nausea, headaches, muscle aches and pains. These symptoms indicate the body is mobilizing stored wastes and should not cause alarm. If you do not experience symptoms, dont worry, it is still working. This happens to be my favorite detox regiment. I feel absolutely fantastic just after the 2nd day and am always looking forward to the next one! Enjoy :)
