We are very excited to announce a new class forming at In Motion for 2015!!! Another one of Greene County’s residents is back in our area and will be teaching an 8-week acting course for us this winter!! Here is some of the info: When: Wednesday, January 14 - Wednesday, March 4, 2015 Time: Students 6-12: 5:00 pm – 6:30 pm Students 12 and up: 6:30 pm – 8:30 pm Cost: $25 per week or save by purchasing all 8 sessions up front for $150 Instructor: Emily Mathason Introducing Emily: Emily Mathason is a local woman from the West Greene area. She is a graduate of Penn State University with a Bachelor of Arts in Theatre. After receiving her degree, she followed her dreams to the West Coast. She has been living in Los Angeles for the past 7 years. In L.A., she became a member of the Screen Actors Guild and has worked and appeared on several movies and T.V. shows including, Couples Retreat, Baggage Claim, The Amazing Spiderman, How I Met Your Mother, C.S.I. Miami and New York, The Ghost Whisperer, and others. She also has appeared in commercials for many companies including Velveeta, Gatorade, Samsung, Target, and the PA Lottery. She turned her eyes toward work behind the camera a few years ago and started a production company filming, producing, and editing promotional videos. She is so excited to be back in Greene County to teach and bring what she has learned over the years to the young people here who want to explore similar dreams!! Topics covered will include but are not limited to: Theatre and film history, stage acting, voice exercises, improvisation, pantomime, movement, acting for the camera, cold-reading, staging, and performance We would like to run some type of showcase at the end of the sessions in March. This will depend upon number of students interested in participating and will be decided at a later time during the course. This is a very exciting course for our students of Greene County. You do not need to be a student of In Motion to participate!! All welcome!!
