We are very proud of our partnership with the Ainsleys Angels Roll - TopicsExpress

We are very proud of our partnership with the Ainsleys Angels Roll With The Wind Race Series and wanted to share this special post and video about the Marine Marathon with all of you: Many have asked and some had no idea, but YES, Ainsley is running her third Marine Corps Marathon this Sunday. After seeing how awesome she sits in her Team Hoyt custom chair and how well it supports her very severe (+70degree) spine curve, we became open to the idea of allowing her to continue running races of this distance. Then, at 6:35pm on June 14, 2014, Angel Joe asked about the possibilities of Ainsley doing MCM this year. After much discussion that evening, Ainsleys Mom agreed that if Ainsley could complete the race in 4.5 hours that she could roll with him. Training began, which included Ainsleys Dad focused on being able to run with Joe and Ainsley, while Angel Leanne joined in on the training since she was preparing to run her first half-marathon in August and to also return to DC to run the Marine Corps 10k (with Ainsley, if the weather didnt support Ainsley doing the 26.2 miles or if Joe (or Rooster) was not prepared to run 4.5 hours). As time progressed, Leanne proved not only capable of lending her legs to complete a half marathon under 2 hours with Captain Michael, but also of completing a rigorous Marathon training plan. Her unselfish dedication to helping others accomplish road races with a smile and her love for Ainsley prompted us to ask her to join Team Ainsley at MCM 2014. Of course, Angel and President of the SoCal chapter was also asked to run with Ainsley for their third Marathon together. So, the plan was set, Ainsley and her Angels Joe, Laura, Dad and Leanne would toe the line for Ainsleys 79th race and third Marathon! Then, about 8 weeks ago, indications of injury began to appear. An eventual trip to the ER resulted in a groin strain diagnosis...then weeks of rest followed by continued pain prompted an MRI order to verify sports hernia...long story short, but Ainsley will not run this race with her Dad, NOR will she sit on the sideline. With her team of angels ready to roll and many of her friends, Bean, Bella, Mollie, Cecilia, Jayson, JDude, Derek, Brogan, Michael, Mattie, Dominic, to name but only a few of the other Rider-Athletes also set to roll as well, the day promises to be amazing, as none of these amazing athletes will be stuck on the sideline and Ainsleys Mom and Dad will, for the first time in 79 road races, experience together the joys of cheering for her to have the race of her life! We are excited to see her perform in this years version of the dance recital described in this USA Today publish video story. :) youtu.be/yGUpRjap2GQ
