We are well and truly into the middle of mega therapy. Chemo has finished and Harry received his stem cells back last Tuesday. He was doing amazingly well but as expected he hit rock bottom yesterday. He has mucositis which means he has lost the lining in his mouth, stomach and down to his bottom, is still quite nauseas and spiked a temp yesterday. His is on a combination of anti nausea meds, morphine for the mucositis as well as a number of other medications etc to keep him as comfortable as possible. Fingers crossed it only lasts a few more days until his nutrifils start to rise again. We were warned by the other nuroblastoma families that mega therapy was tough but nothing can prepare you to see your child the way we have seen Harry over the last few days.
