We are working on a new calender to represent that which is good in the world. We want it to be a GLOBAL calendar to replace all religious, political, and commerce-driven holidays with celebrations of the most beautiful people that ever lived and the greatest historic events in our human recorded history. That doesnt mean to take away religion as Jesus, Mother Theresa, MLK, Gandhi, Mandela, and more were all religiously or politically driven, yet beautiful people. The point is that we celebrate massacres, we celebrate marketing ploys, we celebrate fantasies, we celebrate murderers, we celebrate elitism and imperialism...but we fail to celebrate the lives of those that have brought the love and kindness that our society functions on. We fail to recognize those that have walked the path of the righteous in the midst of oppression. Those that believed in servitude to the people and not glory. A truly nobel and peaceful recognition. It is of great importance to the families and society to have days of celebration, but it is of more importance to celebrate things that present the society we wish to be. For this reason, we believe it would serve the world to have an Awareness Calendar that presents the issues with current tradition and why the current holiday schedule was created and then presents an alternative holiday schedule, celebrating the lives and events that form and mold the society we hope to be.
