We are working to a plan and hope to make Bodmin Heartsafe. These PADs (public Access Defibrillators) are recorded and can be seen by the Ambulance Control Room Computer. In the event of you dialling 999 for a heart attack victim, if you are within 400 meters of a PAD, Ambulance Control will tell you to go and get the defibrillator. Life saving stuff, they cost £3000 and we need your help. Bobbie Taylor ran the London Marathon and she raised the money to put one at Wovina, (Wovina pay £5 a week for its surveillance) Sarah Cox raised her money with help for the Bodmin Inner Wheel and Bodmin Rotary Club. Dan Nicholls raised his money with help from Barclays. Sarah and Dans PADs are being ordered today. But the master plan looks like this with the orange ones being planed for next year.
