We are writing with reference to the consignment of 15 air conditioners and 180 laptops, under the order No… shipped on the Golden Lotus which arrived at HaiPhong port on 5 September 2011, On examination, the consignment was found in a missing and damaged condition. We asked the Vinacontrol’s representative in HaiPhong to make the Survey Report which shows: - Out of 180 laptops, there were only 168 delivered, 12 were missing. - 60 of the delivered units were Chinese not Southeast Asia as stating in the order and 08 of the delivered units were seriously damaged because of their boxes were broken. - 05 air-conditioners were distorted in transit due to poor packing. We would like to ask you to send the missing units and the replacements for the damaged and distorted units by air as soon as possible with all the expenses to your account. The delivery time of goods is not later than 22 Janury 2012, after that time, we reserve the right to refuse the consigment and your company will have to pay the fines worth as twice as the consignment value. We would be accept to have those Chinese laptops if you can make a 20% discount for them. We would like to ask you to send someone to pick the damaged units up and storage fees will be send to your account. As this problem affected to the foreign representative office in Ha Noi which due to open on 25 September 2011, would you please pay the compensation for the liquidated damages, estimated 0.5% the consignment value?
