We, as a society, have to stop re-victimizing people who are victims of serious crimes. Too many times the court of public opinion renders verdicts unjustly on the victim, saying the victim is at fault. Please be mindful of the victim and what they may be going through not only physically but mentally. While physical scars may heal, emotional and mental scars sometimes last a lifetime.
