We as muslims are responsible for where we are today as a people.If we had abided by the teachings of Prophet Muhammad and lived our lives as he did,this world would have been a better place.We are so quick especially those of us from the northern part of Nigeria to condemn people of other faiths. Using such degrading words like arneto describe non muslims even to their faces.Just as we believe our religion is the path to salvation,so do people also from other faiths.As Allah told us in the Holy Quran,There is no compulsion in religion.Our Prophet Muhammad lived peacefully with people of various faiths and was never hostile towards them.Muslims today have become objects of ridicule due to their approach towards their relationship with people.We have abandoned our own islamic teachings and have opted for the western ways.The inactions of many muslims have given Islam a very bad name.There is no better way of life for any muslim than the teachings of Our beloved Prophet.This way,we are sure of peaceful coexistence and our dignity as muslims would be restored.
