We at 5Point4 Continue to bring you the best local talent and this weeks episode we have Liam Crisp. He can play in various positions like CB, CDM but his main position is RB. He went to the Leichestein development tournament and Dublin for the Euros (Getting a clean sheet vs Faroe island) with GFA U17. Heres 5Point4, Presenting Liam Crisp... What professional player do you play similar too and which do u admire? Crisp: I admire Phillip Lahm because he is to me the best full back in the world and his runs on the field is second to none, along with his defending. He has also recently started playing in the central defensive midfielder position showing he is quite versatile which is something I really like. He is also a great captain considering he is captain of Bayern FC and was captain of Germany and lead them to win the 2014 world cup with his great leadership and I find him being a good player for me to look up to. What are your expectations for the future football wise? Crisp: In the future I would hope to still be playing for Manchester 62 and GFA and maybe perhaps even further. I am currently enjoying my football and I want to continue the way I am going; playing with GFA and Manchester and hopefully I could make my debut in the premier team, but in order for that to happen I still need to keep proving to my coaches that I am ready and I have to continue working hard with the help of my coaches and team mates in order to make my self a better player. With all the foreign players Premier teams are bringing, Do you think players like you would have a chance to get there? Crisp: In my opinion I find it more of a challenge when they bring in foreign players which I gladly accept. All this challenge will do is make me a better player because my hunger to play will increase and also in training I will be determined to make sure I have a place in the team. In my opinion, bringing in foreign players will just make Gibraltarian players work harder and really all that could happen would be our national team improving due to the fight that they are putting up with in their team in order to get their spot in the starting line up. Such young prodigious talent on our shores! We at 5Point4 sincerely hope Liam and the other youngsters get given a chance sooner rather than later to further progress in the beautiful game... 5Point4, bringing sports to you...
