We at Beat Cinema would like to send you an open invitation to enter the Vol.7 of the Beat Cinema Beat Battle, If you have been to one of our battles then you know the rules, if not they are listed below for the curious. If you are interested in entering please send a sample submission of 1 or 2 beats for consideration. All submissions are considered by residents, and while there are only 20 spots we get many many submissions so obviously we cant put everyone in, but we do listen to every submission and its just as hard for us as it is for the judges of the battles. So we do keep alternates for situations where people cant make it or have to cancel for any reason, so always check your inboxes. Send submissions to BCBeatBattle@gmail to enter…good luck event will be held Tuesday July 15, 2014 9pm-2am at Hip Kitty Jazz and Fondue 502 W first St. Claremont CA 91711 Judges Mike Parvizi(Team Supreme, Penthouse Penthouse) Great Dane(Team Supreme, Alpha Pup) Repeated Measures(Grn+Gld, Beat Cinema) Format 20 Contestants, 1st round: 4 rounds of 5 beatmakers, top 10 advance 2nd Round: 2 rounds 10 beatmakers, top 5 advance Final Round: 1 round, maybe 2, top 3 are picked Prizes 1st place: $100, beat battle trophy, and guest spotlight at future show 2nd place: gift bag with assorted goodies, and sponsor package 3rd place: beer, food, or nug your choice and sponsor package Rules The battle is going to have the same format as always where judging, scoring, and round systems have more emphasis on individual performance rather than 1 on 1 competition 2 minutes per contestant, 1 beat or compilation of beats, but no longer than 2 mins Beats must be original production 21 and over event, bring ID or you will be disqualified due to time constraints we may not be able to sound check so make sure your levels are correct ahead of time Things we need from you We need all contestants to send us a few things before the battle just to make us a little better prepared 1. stage name-for the visuals 2. equipment you will be using, and any wires or cables needed(bring your own if possible for backup) 3.some kind of contact info just in case. 4.due to time constraints we may not be able to sound check so make sure your levels are correct ahead of time We hope you consider entering, we wish you the best of luck and can’t wait to see you on battle day questions, comments, concerns, please don’t hesitate to ask Michael Davis bcbeatbattle@gmail 951-965-7055 Rick Gonzalez bcbeatbattle@gmail 626-433-3982
