Together we have enjoyed our favorite country songs, we have met at area events, aired Calhoun Yellow Jacket Football, given out Kickin T-Shirts, and generally had a great time together. We are the number one station in Calhoun and Gordon County and for that we have each and every one of you to thank. In life we have all heard the phrase An offer too good to refuse and thats exactly what happened to the owner of Kickin 94.5, he was made an offer to buy the station from a radio group out of Atlanta that he just could not refuse. To the extreme sadness of myself, Randy Rhodes, Kickin 94.5 was removed from the air early Saturday morning at Midnight and will remain off the air until the new owner takes it over one day next week. The new company that now owns Kickin 94.5 is called Core Communicators out of Atlanta. Its owner, Steve Hegwood, already operates several stations in the Atlanta area including Streetz 94.5. The name, type of music, and everything to do with Kickin 94.5 will be changed by the new owner so dont be surprised by the fact that the next time you punch your Radios Kickin Memory Button that you no longer hear Country Music.
