We at PML-N lost Election of PP-72 Faisalabad: Few days ago I wrote my views and attracted some 70 comments, 80 likes and 7 shares. Many newspapers picked from there. I received Criticism, Disagreements and some PTI youngsters were abusive. In Politics I have learnt not to be carried by appreciation and not to get angry on abuse or criticism, only because it is that persons view and it only reflects his personality. All in all, following points need to be addressed: 1. Mehangai - Inflation (Petrol, Electric Power, Taxes & FBR Forms - Ishaq Dar not performing etc.) 2. Promises Not Fulfilled. Govt., moving too slowly etc.. Dear friends, When I was going through the May 11, elections for NA-82, to start with I was confident that I will win and hoped to get 80,000 votes. In the last days, seeing the crowds euphoric I increased the numbers to 100,000 but to my own amazement I got 126,452 votes. Highest in Faisalabad City and 30 to 35% above my own expectations. This was SWING effect. This swing effect is more in under educated and less understanding societies because people are simpler & are driven more by HOPE and less by reality. This HOPE has turned sour and reality has dawned, that Pakistan needs longer time to fix. Pakistan needs money to fix and Tax thieves will need to be nabbed. Those who will have to PAY TAXES are misguiding and using the Simpler people into believing that they have been bluffed and may be PPP has come back in the garb of PML-N. They do not tell what would happen if PPP had continued to rule them. They do not tell that NOT ONE corruption case has been reported in 120 days. Due to such selfish tactics the SWING has gone to the opposite side. This SWING has not only taken away the excess votes but also the real votes, but this is NOT a permanent factor and not a short time factor aswell. It will only go by PML-Ns performance e.g. Toady we signed funds for NEELUM JHELUM Hydro-electric project which Pervaiz Musharraf could have done 12 years ago ! We need to keep doing this. As a PML-N man I am not shy in defending my party and educating my valued FB friends that: (1) For 80% or so Pakistanis the Electric price is same for last 10 years and it is heavily subsidized. (2). Power has become more expensive for Industry and this was discussed with them and we promised to reduce load shedding by paying Rs 500 B to IPPs. Industrialists today save on Diesel Generators as much as they are paying increased bills. (3). Dollar Price went up bringing INFLATION, because our Foreign Exchange reserves went down. This is structural weakness and this happens to all countries in our situation. Ishaq Dar or anyone else. This is an area that is going to continue to trouble us unless a miracle happens. And this MIRACLE could be the end of terrorism - towards which PML-N is working. Will our enemies allow this miracle to happen is another story but if it does it is a bigger news than KBD or an off shore lucky oil find. However Nations are not built on lottery draws but proper plans which more often are long term. (4). TAXES: We are a joker country when it comes to Tax to GDP ratio. This means there is money in the economy (GDP) but people are not paying taxes. 10 lac people pay tax and 17crore 90 lac people want Pakistan to become a super power with the taxes paid by 10 lac people. This will not happen. It cannot happen. Even those who want to give us charity, tell us to fix our own house first. We know the people personally who are trying to lead the agitation in our cities against FBR, Ishaq Dar, PML-N. Most of them are the biggest ROBBERS. They live in Palaces. Perform Hajj costing 15 lacs per person every year. Enjoy life. Throw parties. Their family weddings are 1 to 2 crore rupees functions. DO WE NOT SEE THIS. They are agitating taxes. They are the wisest people till such time you show them the FBR tax form which they say they cannot understand. They have been successful in dodging the tax man several times and they are responsible to bring Pakistan on its knees. IF PAKISTAN HAS TO PROSPER, THAN THE MEDIA AND OPPOSITION PARTIES, SHOULD CRITISIZE ON FACTS. TAKE PML-N TO COURT BUT PLEASE DO NOT BLUFF THE POOR AND NON UNDERSTANDING TO DERAIL THE SYSTEM BECAUSE, I KNOW OTHER PARTIES WILL ALSO NOT BE ABLE TO DO IT. MY ONLY WORRY IS THAT FACED WITH SUCH PRESSURES AND LOSS OF SEATS LIKE PP-72, AGITATIONS TO COME IN DAYS AHEAD, MY PARTY PML-N IS NOT DISTRACTED FROM TAKING HARD DECISIONS EVEN IF WE ARE VOTED OUT AFTER 5 YEARS BUT WE SHOULD LAY A STRONG FOUNDATION FOR A STRONG PAKISTAN. LET US DO OUR BEST TO FULFILL OUR PROMISES. IF WE HAVE TO GO DOWN, THAN LET US GO DOWN FIGHTING.. As for TAX DODGERS, our brothers are like the child why cries and protests when the doctor is going to give an injection.
