We at Rathcoole Boys F.C. would like to bring to the attention of all our members and supporters a recent spate of vandalism and theft in and around our clubhouse. Over the last week in particular the level of wanton and destructive vandalism reached an absolute unacceptable level when the new school prefab was stoned breaking windows, seats at the rear of the clubhouse have been slashed, water taps left running, with signboards on the Pat Tansey pitch having been defaced, this together with carving of initials on paintwork can no longer continue. A signed Livington F.C. jersey, which was presented to the club as a souvenir of their trip to Rathcoole Boys F.C. was recently stolen from our Coffee Shop. This was a prized possession and part of our clubs history. It has been displayed in the club house for a number of years. For someone to brazenly steal this is equally infuriating and disheartening. We can only hope that the person or people who did this will do the right thing and return the jersey to the club. The vandalism and theft have been reported to the Gardaí as this is a serious matter which we will not tolerate. The Gardaí are currently investigating the situation and have asked for any person who may know who is responsible to let the Gardaí or indeed any committee members know. All information will be handled with the strictest of confidence. We would ask that all members please be vigilant and report any person on the premises of Rathcoole Boys F.C. who is either not a member or a paying customer on the all-weather pitches to any committee member. We would like to make it clear that any person found on the grounds of Rathcoole Boys Football Club who are unauthorised to be there or who has entered the pitch when it is locked is trespassing and will be reported to the Gardaí. Many people have put in enormous effort over the years and indeed continually on a daily basis to contribute to the running of the club which has been built up over the years for the benefit of the local community. Through the continued support and dedication of our Players, Managers, Parents, Supporters, Committee Members, and the local community we have all worked hard to make the club the success it is today. Over approximately 2000 people pass through the gates of our club on a weekly basis when you take in to account our 22 Teams with Supporters, The Academy, the All Weather Pitches, The School and The Gym. We will not have a small number of vandals and thieves ruin our hard work and dedication to our club.
