We at the Animal Protective Foundation are saddened to be losing a valued and dedicated staff member who has served the organization for more than a decade. Kim Jess worked in a variety of roles as Community Outreach Manager that gave voice to APF animals and their needs for love and care. Kim always brought awareness to the community of the issues of overpopulation, homelessness and animal abuse, and worked to educate children about responsible animal care. Kim also used her professional marketing and graphic design skills to present our pets in the best possible light and help make APF a recognized and respected community based animal welfare organization. She also was instrumental in conceptualizing and coordinating many successful special events and fundraisers for the APF. Kim’s efforts over the years have made a real and lasting impact on the APF as an organization, and on the animals we all care so deeply about. We wish to extend to Kim the best of wishes as she now concentrates her efforts on her graphic design and marketing business. The Animal Protective Foundation will also be saying goodbye to a dedicated and hardworking staff member in Director of Communications Marguerite Pearson, who has served the mission of the APF for more than 15 years. Marguerite has touched and bettered many facets of the organization. As Development Coordinator, she doubled the revenue of the important Fireplug 500 fundraiser. And in her current role, Marguerite has ably handled all APF media, marketing, advertising, annual appeals and a variety of fundraising events. But most importantly, Marguerite lent a special kind of caring touch to all her work with our animals that will not be replicable. The APF Board of Directors would like to extend to Marguerite a heartfelt “thank you” for her years of service and her unwavering commitment to the APF’s animals. On behalf of everyone at the APF, we wish Marguerite the best as she moves on.
