We attended a breakfast In Redford celebrating Martin Luther King, Jr. yesterday. My Pastor, Rev. Lawrence C. Glass, Jr. was the keynote speaker. When it was over a plea went out to help make 300 sandwiches to go into bags. I have no idea who the sandwiches were for, but a group of us got together, formed an assembly line and got it done...quickly! An example of what can be done when we work together...different races, genders, church affiliations, groups...all striving for one goal! Community service at its best!
