We barely recognize this place! The complete packing of the entire artifact collection in the Garfield home has begun! National Park Service employees from all over the country, as well as representatives of the National First Ladies Library and the Western Reserve Historical Society, are here to pack up the thousands of items on display in the Garfield home so that they can be safely stored during the upcoming construction work to install the homes new heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) system. Its a HUGE job, but we have a great team on site to accomplish it. Thanks to everyone here working to protect this priceless collection of Garfield artifacts! Well keep everyone posted on the projects progress. These images show the Garfield homes reception hall (top) and dining room (bottom) in the process of being packed.
