We bought our house 17 years ago and the first neighbor to come by and welcome us to the neighborhood was the lovely Miss Marilyn Cox! Marilyn was confined to a wheelchair and in spite of her disability had the sweetest disposition! She was a breath of fresh air and had an infectious school girl laugh! Marilyn had around the clock caregivers and many friends who visited her daily! Marilyn called me her favorite neighbor, and I took great pride in that! You see for 17 years I cut her grass and raked her leaves and I did it because I adored her! My heart was in my throat when I saw the ambulance in front of her house last night! I ran to the ambulance and could see the paramedics doing chest compressions and I knew it wasnt good I felt helpless and so I said a little prayer! I just kept looking at her sweet face completely unaware that my young friend Jeremy Perry, a fireman, was the one trying to save her! He stepped out of the ambulance and said they had revived her and she had a pulse but it was weak! In spite of the effort of Jeremy and the 2 other first responders Marilyn passed away at the hospital! Thanks Jeremy Perry for trying your best to keep Miss Marilyn around for us! Now GOD if its not too late I have another neighbor I would like to trade you for our Marilyn! I know it doesnt quite work like that, but this morning I wish it did! We love you Marilyn you were the best!
