We came across a urgent plea for help, not from a shelter or from - TopicsExpress

We came across a urgent plea for help, not from a shelter or from someone finding a stray but from a young mother who tried frantically to find help for her 8 month old pup that had got hit by a car. She was very desperate and it was very clear to us that she really loved her dog but could not find anyone willing to help her out or to let her make payments in order to save her pup. So here is the human side of things and we had to ask ourselves, if we would have found this pup on the side of the road what would we do ? You already know the answer, so why act different because this fortunate pup had a owner but just was not as fortunate as to be owned by someone with credit cards or cash to take care of the problem right then and there. We are operating on a prayer most days and have to struggle for survival ourselves but we knew we could get this pup seen and at least evaluated and then take it from there so we did. The pups name is LEYLA and belongs to a little girl who came with her mom to meet me at Rutty Animal Clinic were Dr. Webb took immediate care of Layla and the love and worry for this sweet pup was very clear and just validated our choice to help by any means. Rescue is about helping not only the abused and abandoned but also whenever you can also the ones who just need a helping hand in order to stay in a loving home. The smile on a little girls face when she gets to take her pup home with the necessary medications to survive and bounce back from a accident...PRICELESS
