“We came to know that Five numbers of labourers were loading some goods and they asked the mentally retarded 18 yrs old girl to help them which she did but one of them held her from behind and the girl made a hue and cry,” Deputy Commissioner Pravin Bakshi informed. After that remours of rape spread in tura town and all ovr garo hills...some senceless and uncivilised garo ppls belives in remours and started beating,killing and damging da proprty of inocent non tribles ppls also govt property........many respectble persons were also beaten like doctors,and few officials.......when suitation was out of contrl distr admistratn impose curfew in garo hills.......3 death bodies were recovered.......3 labours who were involvd in the incident shifted to GMC as der condition critical and two were still missing.........police deptt and distrct admistn dng der level bst jobs to findout the non tribles bussinesmen, worker n govt employ who were still in the remote Hills area....... CRPF force deplyed in plain belts so no furthr shmfull incdnt happen......The incident creat terror amongs ppls of garo hills....
