We can ask for advice, we can form opinions based on other peoples stories, but WE know our own bodies best. Today reminded me of that. Surgeon said Im having a severe allergic reaction to the glue that is burning my skin and spreading even more the longer I let it stay on. Problem is, the adhesive remover will cause even more burning of the skin. He prescribed a cream to dissolve the glue and hopefully prevent the spreading of the rash and some pain pills to help with the pain. The surgeon told me to go home and lather up. Lather like a lifeguard lathers with zinc. Dont worry with appearance. The quicker I get this off, the less it will spread. So. Much. Pain. (Oh, and my immune system is awesome which is why my lymph nodes are so swollen. They are fighting the reaction and working double time since Ive had a full lymph node dissection in that same area. The swelling in my ear is a reaction to the allergy.) ah, its always an adventure. ;-) THANK YOU FOR ALL OF YOUR ADVICE, COMMENTS, AND PRAYERS! YOU helped me so much this morning while I waited (impatiently) for the doctors office to open.
