We can be certain of one thing in life: sooner or later it will all come to an end. Therefore, how we live this life is very important. We can choose to live our lives God’s way or we can choose not to. Every choice we make has a consequence. The Lord our God is unlike any other. He reminds us to check the foundations of our house. When was the last time we checked? When was the last time we had a deep conversation with Him? The house the Lord is talking about is what is inside us. Is it built by our Lord? If it is not, the Word of God says we are building our house in vain. Psalm 127:1 Unless the Lord builds the house, its builders labour in vain. Unless the Lord watches over the city, the watchmen stand guard in vain. I pray we would spend some time praying for the nations of the world. Are the nations and its watchmen standing guard in vain? Are our leaders building in vain? It is time we build our homes, lives, nations, and its facets the Lord’s way. Today’s words of encouragement may seem a little discouraging because of its tone, but I pray we would be able to find the Lord’s encouragement through this message. I pray we would always build our lives not in vain, but upon the Lord.
