We can often go through life searching for our position in life. An identity if you will. Babies, then children, students, marriage, single, divorce, widow, parents, grandparents, great grandparents; or jobs can be our identity. Or volunteer positions. Each of which provide a slippery slope. We can love or even dislike where we are....but changes are inevitable, either way. Just as the seasons in nature change...so do we and our lives.....changes....and not necessarily fun ones. But, our earthly spots just change. The need to go to assisted living...the loss of health....the loss of someone so dear...we all know the journey, in one way or another. And if we dwell on the changes too much, certain sadness just happens. It is always good to remember that our position in Christ will never change. Ages and stages, yes; our position with and in Christ, no....He is the same, yesterday and today and forever. (Hebrews 13:8) His love and care never fails. (1 Cor. 13:8) And from the Message, Romans 8:38-39 So, what do you think? With God on our side like this, how can we lose? If God didnt hesitate to put everything on the line for us, embracing our condition and exposing Himself to the worst by sending His own Son, is there anything else He wouldnt gladly and freely do for us?........I m absolutely convinced that nothing-nothing living or dead, angelic or demonic, today or tomorrow, high or low, thinkable or unthinkable--absolutely nothing can get between us and Gods love because of the way that Jesus our Master has embraced us. Holding tight to Gods love?.....yes, lets do...especially in the changes.......Have a great weekend.
