We cannot afford to restrict foot traffic on Main Street again! The wood tree boxes cause people like me to have to stop and let others pass on the sidewalk instead of if we had flat tree grates. As a visitor, one could just walk across the grates and keep the positive flow going with their family or friends instead of having a negative experience to share of Riverhead every time they had to stop at a tree box or trip over one. Tree grates are healthy for a tree as opposed to tree box plantings which are not.
