We cannot defeat that which we deny. Some of us are sick and tired of being sick and tired but, will not seek help.Others are well aware of what is ailing them but refuse to admit it. Many have recognized the destructive cycle but are too prideful to surrender, then there are those of us who have been diagnosed but are unwilling to take the prescribed medication. Jesus did not come for the well, He came for the sick, the broken hearted and the hopeless. If you could set yourself free you would not find yourself in solitary confinement again. If you could make all things new you wouldnt keep resorting back to old behaviors and if you could get yourself together your life wouldnt be falling apart at the seams. Today my earnest prayer is that WE would stop saying we are fine when we know we are not, that WE would quit running after people and things ,that we would start walking on purpose and in the spirit. May we TOTALLY agree with God that He knows best and we only know in part.Today may our fear, rebellion, disappointment and anger be crucified .And may the same God who raised Jesus Christ from the dead ; resurrect us into a newfound dependence on the Word of God , will of God and the ways of God. Amen
