See you from 3:00-6:30 Heres whos coming today: • Yokna Bottoms Farm: This local crew will have green beans, Chinese noodle beans, heirloom tomatoes, eggplant, squash, bell peppers, jalapeno peppers, cucumbers, potatoes, onions, fresh herbs and flowers. • Welcome Valley Farm: Mr. Pepper returns with local vine ripe tomatoes, cucumbers, egg plant, squash, onions, potatoes, peppers, sweet cantaloupe and more. Thanks for stopping by his tent! • Native Son Farm: Native Son is back with heirloom, slicing, Campari and plum tomatoes as well as garlic and onions, eggplant and peppers. • Canebrake Farm: Charlies back with Japanese cucumbers, Armenian cucumbers, edamame, fresh eggs, and herbs. • Sunlight Springs Certified Organic Farm: Daniel is bringing certified organic rattlesnake green beans, peas, cucumbers, potatoes, and other items in smaller quantities. • Mudline Farms: Melissa is back! Come see her beautiful produce and ask her about her CSA. • St. Bethany Fresh: Local vine-ripened tomatoes, long English seedless cucumbers, and mini euro seedless cucumbers (aka kids cukes). • Cherry Creek Orchards: Local peaches & more! Pontotoc Ridge Blueberry Farm: Blueberries, jellies, and possibly more. • Browns Farm: Leonard Brown from Water Valley brings an ARRAY of fresh organic herbs (and soon, mushrooms) to tickle your taste buds. Please come welcome him and his nephews to OXCM! • Richardson Farm: Nathan will have tomatoes, peppers, cucumbers, herbs, flowers, and elephant ears. • Brown Family Dairy: Billy Rays pasteurizer got hit by lightning. Stay tuned for when they will be back. • Robertson Farm: Free range eggs, okra, rattlesnake beans, and a few homegrown tomatoes. • Woodson Ridge Farm: Local Lafayette County produce • Watson Family Tomatoes: Lafayette County tomatoes from the Watsons. • Patti Belles Produce & Seafood: Jonathan is bringing shrimp and shucked oysters by the pint. Did you see the picture on facebook yet of the grilled shrimp sushi Charlie Dawson made using Jonathans shrimp and Canebrake produce? Just beautiful. • M & J Farms: Christy and Marie will have assorted fruit jams and jellies, chocolate sauce, white and wheat bread, and pizza crusts. Come try their new line of peach jams, plus a new jelly shes making this week - Purple Hull Pea Jelly. Supposedly it tastes like grape jelly ... lets all try it and find out. • Mardis Honey: Delicious, local honey from Taylor, MS. Put it in your tea, your baked goods, your oatmeal... its good for you! • Ya Yas Yummies: Angela will have assortment of jellies, jams, and preserves, baking mixes, dip mixes, mild and hot salsa, pepper jellies, chow chow, butter pecan bundt cake, orange juice pound cake, blueberry bread, and banana-strawberry bread. If you havent tried some of Ya Yas Yummies yet, youre really missing out. • Creative Kitchen: If you love Lizzys fried pies, just wait! Today shell have not just her original fried pies (peach, strawberry, apple, blueberry, and chocolate), but her NEW! gourmet fried pies: caramel apple, chocolate strawberry, and more! She also has 2 other new items: chocolate hazelnut almond espresso torte and 3 Bread Vegan Braid in white, wheat, and rye! Anna will also be selling her own chocolate brownie cookies to raise money for all the stuff she wants that her Mom wont buy her :) • The Cookie Shack: Sara Beth Mullen is a local Oxford Middle Schooler who wants to go on a class trip to the Galápagos Islands. To raise funds, she is selling pound cakes- peach, blueberry, lemon and chocolate chip. Shes also making cookies galore: snickerdoodles, chocolate chip, peanut butter, ultimate chocolate M&M and coconut lime sugar cookies. And it doesnt end there: Rice Krispie treats, corn flake peanut butter treats & coconut pecan pralines, plus pineapple upside down cakes! Im in a sugar coma thinking about it. • The Spicy or Not Veggy: Nita will have an assortment of Jams, Jellies, Several heat levels of Salsa and New Jamaican Jerk Pickles. Theyre also bringing Dill Chive Compound Butter, New Flavors of Gluten Free Pound Cakes & Cookies, White Cake Muffins with Strawberry Icing and--of course--Gluten Free Dairy Free Pita Bread. Gluten free is their specialty! • Honey Bee Bakery: Shannons crew returns to OXCM with their delicious breads and spreads. • Cotton’s Café Dog Treat Barkery: Janet will have all natural organic dog treats for healthier, happier dogs. Made using local farmer’s produce, her products have no preservatives, no artificial ingredients, no lactose, and no reason your pup wont love them! Available in sweet potato, squash apple, pumpkin, peanut butter honey, and a new blueberry-honey variety! • Rock Solid Pen Company: Local artisan John McMillan hand-turns custom ballpoint pens, pencils, and fountain pens out of native Mississippi wood and exotic woods from around the world, plus a few special ones from acrylic and deer antler (found, not killed) sources.
